What is opening up for me is that surrendering oneself is actually a very powerful place to be in. It is not about dropping your arms or turning yourself in. Surrender, in fact, is about dropping and keeping aside everything.. my knowledge, my concepts, my ego. Then a very clean, unpolluted, non-corrupted pious space is created , wherein transformation happens. Every time, I am required to confront something unpleasant, every time that the seat gets hot, every time I am tempted to quit and go back to my old comfortable shell, I revisit the intention to which I have surrendered myself. In view of that larger context, the present discomfort then starts to appear insignificant and I once again get re-energized.
